Atheism: the Blind Faith Religion

The atheist has no proof, not even a hope of a proof for the existence of something that does not exist. If a thing does not exist it can neither emit nor leave any artifact. There are no observable symptoms of nothing. He is thus forced to base his opinion on belief alone. Meanwhile He is forced to turn a blind eye to the incredible grandeur, beauty and order of the universe around him. The atheist has the blindest of faith.

Many books have been written arguing the non existence of a god. They are all fundamentally flawed. You cannot write a book about nothing. You can only approach that kind of dissertation, and in order to do so you have to describe some thing then deny its existence. The atheist author is therefore engaged in the most profound kind of conflict of interest. In response to this the atheist might say “Very well, you describe your god and I will deny his existence”. To that I respond, “That is your blind faith speaking again.”

I am aware that atheists do not appreciate their position being labeled as religious, but if an opinion can only be based on belief in its correctness, I maintain that that is a religious act of faith.
